The Sport Law & Strategy Group (SL&SG) is pleased to announce that we are launching a new webinar series in response to the number of requests we are getting from clients to share our expertise and experiences. The "Advancing your Game Webinar Series" will be offered throughout the year to sport leaders on relevant sport management topics including good governance, leadership development, strategic planning, business planning, event management and marketing, legal issues, social media, and communications.

"Clients have been asking us for this kind of expanded service so that they can stay on top of current sport issues," shares SL&SG partner Dina Bell-Laroche. "With our expanded team, each who brings a wealth of expertise in a number of relevant sport management areas, we believe these webinars will provide our clients with an accessible, affordable and relevant method to stay ahead of the curve on topics that matter."

The first webinar, which will be featured using GO TO WEBINAR technology, is on a topic of significant interest to sport leaders from across the country. As all National Sport Organizations and federally-incorporated multi-sport organizations are turning their attention to applying the requirements from the new Not For Profit Corporations Act, many clients are turning to us for advice on how best to do so. "The Not For Profit Corporations Act - Aftermath" webinar will focus on strategies to inform and educate your members and registered participants on the implications following this transition. Based on good practices developed after having facilitated over 80 successful NFP Act transitions, SL&SG Partners Steve Indig and Rachel Corbett will be on hand to share lessons learned and implications for the future.

"The fallout from transitioning to the NFP Act has left sport organizations with many questions about their responsibilities post-compliance," stated partner Steve Indig. "We want to use this webinar to alert and remind organizations about their new legal reporting requirements, necessary policy updates, and other major changes".

"Engaging by webinar will give everyone the opportunity to ask questions, learn from each other, and share knowledge - all without leaving their office," added Rachel Corbett.
