The CCA wishes to inform the cycling community that the Track Program Coordinator, Petrina Tulissi, will be leaving the Association at the end of August to take on other duties.

During her time with the CCA Petrina has been a conscientious and energetic employee with a passion for the track program. Her contributions have been valued and will be missed.

Her final duties with the Association will be as the technical delegate to the Track National Championships in Bromont later this month.

Greg Mathieu, CEO of the CCA said: “On behalf of the Association I would like to thank Petrina for her dedicated and professional work with the track program and wish her will in her future endeavours”.

Track Program Coordinator

The Canadian Cycling Association (CCA) is the recognized authority by the UCI (Union Cycliste International) on all aspects of cycling in Canada, including BMX, Cyclocross, Mountain Bike, Para-Cycling, Road and Track. Founded in 1882, the CCA aims to create and sustain an effective system that develops talented Canadian cyclists to achieve Olympic, Paralympic and World Championship medal performances. With the vision to be a leading competitive cycling nation by 2020, celebrating enhanced international success, increased national participation and world class event hosting, the CCA manages the National teams, hosts national and international events, and administers community programs to promote Cycling in Canada.

Job Description

The Track Program Coordinator is responsible for assisting the delivery of both the Track high performance program and the Track domestic development program, including oversight of National Track Championships and UCI/National Track events in Canada. The Program Coordinator will partner with the National Track Coach to support the high performance objectives and delivery of the approved quadrennial plan, and annual high performance plan as defined by the Chief Technical Officer. The Program Coordinator will support the Director Development to ensure the successful implementation of the domestic development programs and activities in Track cycling. This position is based at the national office in Ottawa, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• National Team - Coordinate the planning and execution of all logistical arrangements (staffing, travel, accommodation, equipment, entries, etc...) for CCA-supported Track program training camps and international competitions.
• National Championships – Serve as the CCA direct liaison to the Organizing Committees for National Track Championships. Develop the Technical Guide for the event in a timely and complete manner. Serve as the technical representative of the CCA at the event.
• Communications - Establish internal systems for communication to athletes, coaches, support staff and other stakeholders of the track cycling community.
• Finance & Operations - Under the direction of the CTO and Director Development assist with the administrative and operational delivery of annual plans.
• Liaison - Assist in maintaining positive relationships with Track Training Centres, velodrome operators and any other agencies and organizations that affect the Association’s ability to implement the national track program.

Knowledge and Skills

The CCA is looking for candidates that have general knowledge of the Canadian sport system and a proven ability to assist the delivery of high performance or development programs at the national or provincial levels. Due to the collaborative nature of the position, candidates with strong communication and relationship building skills will be sought. The Track Program Coordinator needs to have superior multi-tasking and organizational skills and an understanding of the planning process.

Candidates will be expected to have proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint). The following skills, knowledge or experience will be considered assets:

- Capacity in social media
- The ability to communicate in both official languages
- Knowledge and/or experience with competitive cycling
- Knowledge and/or experience with track cycling

Salary & Benefits

The salary scale for the position is a range of $40,000 to $45,000 dependent on experience. In addition, the successful candidate will be eligible for benefits after a period of probation. This position is subject to six-month probation for a new staff hiring, at the end of which a documented performance review will be completed.
