Speed River CC presents: 5th Annual Guelph Cross – Southern Cup Race #2

The Speed River Cycling Club is proud to present the 5th Annual Guelph Cross, the second stop on the Ontario Southern Cup Cyclocross circuit, this coming Sunday September 30th.

This event returns to a great venue, the Joe Kaine Fields at Centennial Park, Guelph. Located off of Municipal Street (see website for map) this urban park offers lots of varied terrain with fast off camber and hard cornering on steeper grass sections. With the majority of the race visible at all times this is a course that spectators are sure to enjoy.

Both novice and experienced cross racers are encouraged to come out and test themselves at these events made possible thanks to the generous support of our race sponsors: Speed River Bicycle, Wellington Brewery, Sugoi, and Cannondale.

There is over $1500 in cash and merchandise prizes up for grabs on race day (see website for details).

We are also pleased to announce that there will be on-site catering at our event this year. Catering is being provided by The Joint Cafe (www.thejointcafe.com), a Guelph-based café and catering company.  Be sure to try out some of their fine fare after working up an appetite during your race!

Entry fees are $25 per day via pre-registration, with day-of entry available for an additional $15.  Pre-registration closes Thursday September 27th at midnight. Pre-registration is available at: www.ontariocycling.org

One-day event permits will be available for non-licence holders at a cost of $8 (pre-reg) or $10 on race day. US residents require a UCI licence.
