July 8/14 12:57 pm - Canmore MTB Stage Race & Festival to Offer Cash Purse

The first ever Canmore Mountain Bike Festival and Stage Race will take place on August 8th to 10th, and is offering a cash prize for the top rider in both male and female categories who enter three of the four races (Eliminator, Super D, and Alberta Cup).

The first race, the Friday Night Eliminator (XCE), will take place in downtown Canmore. The remaining three races, the Saturday morning Super D, Sunday's Alberta Cup, and the Sunday Youth Trailblazers Race will take place at the Biathlon Area of the Canmore Nordic Centre (1988 Olympic Way, Canmore), which has held National championships and World Cups in the past. Sunday's Alberta Cup race is a new course, and will be the proposed circuit for a 2015 Canada Cup.
