VW-Trek 2006

Team Director Josée Robitaille has given us an update on what her team will look like for the coming season.

Everything is looking very good for us for the upcoming season. Volkswagen and Trek are back; they are still our 2 main sponsors. All the others partners are back, Oakley, Giro, Speedplay, Vittoria, Giordana, Adidas, Energie (drinks), PowerBar.

As far as it goes for the riders, we'll have a squad of 7 seniors and 4 juniors, It's been a long time since I went to the Tour of Abitibi, so I figure a trip back there could be fun!!!!

In the senior team, Alexandre Cloutier, Martin St-Laurent, Kevin Lacombe, Raphael Tremblay are back. Eric Boily will be joining them as a first year Espoir. Then we have 2 news riders - Jean Sébastien Béland, who rode for our team a couple of years ago, then he stopped for school. Now he's an airplane pilot and ready to ride back in the pro 1-2 field. Clovis Auger, a first year Espoir from Quebec will also be riding with us this year. Clovis was with the junior national team in Abitibi last year.

Martin Gilbert, as you know, is now riding with Kodak, and Alexandre Lavallée, will ride the next season with the Louis Garneau team, since he's also going to work for the company.

Our four juniors are all first year in that category, so that should be interesting. Marc Allard, Guillaume Blais Dufour, Stéphane Cossette and Thomas Fortin will be part of our team for this season.

Our calendar includes a lot of the provincial races, but also some races in the US. Our main goals are Beauce, road and track nationals and, of course, surviving at the Tour of Abitibi!!!

We have a young senior team and a young junior team, but still we're ready for the challenge, we're looking foward to begin the season.
