World Masters Challenge - Men‚s Results

This afternoon the Veteran and Masters age men raced at Mont Ste Anne. Our reporter Claire Bonin reports that conditions were excellent, with the riders split on whether the circuit was too technical, or not technical enough. In the Men‚s 40-49 race, Pierre Harvey and Gilles Morneau both started out very strongly, however, Morneau crashed twice in the technical sections and withdrew. Harvey elected to be more cautious in the technical parts, admitting that he walked one section, and dropped to 7th by the end of the race.

The Pro Downhillers held a press conference just an hour ago, and said that the course is a fun one that doesn‚t favour any one rider in particular. It is very straight, however, the track is rough and rutted, so that it will take alot of strength to do well. Riders will also have by careful of pinchflats with all the loose rocks.
