Ontario Cup RR #1

The 5th annual Bikecrazie.com Ontario Cup Classic is just two weeks away! Today (Friday, March 31st) is the last day to register at the cheapest rate.

The event is held at Mosport International Raceway, a world class facility which has hosted all forms of motor racing over the years including Formula 1. The 4km road circuit is ideal for a bicycle race with a mixture of twists, turns and rolling terrain on a well paved closed circuit.

There have been some changes to the originally posted schedule with Master B/CD Men and Cadet Men all starting at the same time. Also the Master Women's categories will be split into Master A (30-39) and Master B (40+). Senior 3 Women will have their own medals and award ceremony as they did last year.

Novice races return this year with four different categories to give beginners a chance to test their legs at the legendary race track. If you want to give racing a try then this is the perfect opportunity with Mosport's closed circuit, wide road and gentle curves.

No rider in the elite Men's or Women's event has ever won the event twice, In honour of this year's 5th anniversary, race sponsor Eagle.ca has offered up the "Performance Challenge", $100 if any of the previous elite Men or Women winners win the event for a second time this year.

The race has been generously sponsored this year by: Eagle.ca, Bicycles Plus, Coachchris.ca and Mill Valley Natural Spring Water.
