Back for a third year, the North Shore Cycling Gear Swap (presented by the North Shore News) takes place at Lynn Valley Centre, on Mountain Highway and Lynn Valley Road, North Vancouver, Sunday, May 7th 2006 from 1pm to 5pm.

Participants interested in swapping their gear can drop their items right inside Lynn Valley Centre, starting Thursday, May 4th until the morning of the swap on Sunday May 7th. Drop off times vary per day; check out our website at www.shoregearswap.com for all the details.

Whether you are new to cycling or a veteran rider, you don't need to spend a fortune on quality bikes, equipment, or clothing. The North Shore Cycling Gear Swap, presented by North Shore News, is the best place to outfit the whole family for a new season of biking with quality used bikes, clothing and equipment all in one location.

All proceeds from the swap, supports the North Shore Mountain Bike Events Society's Legacy Fund. The Legacy Fund supports a number of initiatives including wilderness access for people with disabilities, local trail repair, maintenance and access. One of the latest projects of the Legacy Fund has been the construction of brand new bridges on the popular Mt. Seymour trail Bridle Path, a major east - west conduit used by bikers, hikers and dog walkers.

There is a $2.00 per item registration fee with a 15% service charge on all items sold during the event. A $2.00 admission is charged per person, Sunday, May 7th to check out the great gear available. Note that this year we have gear drop off on the morning of the swap so that folks can come to the North Shore for the day, drop their gear off in the morning and then come back later in the day to collect their proceeds!

Join us and sell that bike that no longer "turns your crank", find one that does, or swap that cycling jersey that doesn't quite fit. You will be helping a worthy cause by buying or selling your gear at the North Shore Cycling Gear Swap.
