Herald Sun Tour, Australia

Canadian Eric Wohlberg (riding for the Australia Post team) finished in the pack during the Stage 1 criterium in Melbourne, and currently sits 10th on overall general classification.

Draft Calendar Corrections

1. As was correctly pointed out to us, there is no Events Department at the CCA yet, it is under development at this time. The e-mail address that we provided for national calendar feedback is to the Events Coordinator.

2. Left out of the calendar was the National Road Championships, scheduled for June 23-27 in Sherbrooke, Québec.

3. The World Cup Road Race in Montreal is on May 30th, not May 20th.

Sorry for any confusion this may have caused.

More Road World's Results

In today's Under 23 Men's road race, Canadian results were as follows:

35. Paul Kelly at 19 seconds
82. Charles Dionne at 4:07
131. Pascal Choquette DNF

Kelly, who has spent the season racing in Italy, was in the main pack of 44 riders. He and American Justin Spinelli (31st) were the only two North Americans in the pack.

New Executive Director for Ontario Cycling Association

Anthony Clegg is the new Executive Director for the OCA, having started one week ago. Mr Clegg has come to cycling from Wheelchair Sports and, after a lengthy telephone conversation with him last week, I can say that he has many innovative ideas to revitalize the OCA. I have agreed to meet with him in the near future for a more in-depth conversation (which we will report back on).

Provincial AGMs

You will have noticed that we published time/date/location information for the OCA AGM. We would like to do that for as many provincial bodies as we can, so please send us your information!
