Italian Festival Criterium Ottawa, June 18th

A brutally hot, humid and windy 100 km saw Damien Kurzawinski (ZMCC) outsprint Derrick St. John (Ride With Rendall) for first place and about 6 cases of beer. Damien and Derrick lapped the main field of 110 riders on the 1.65 km course. Damien also overcame a tumble and a flat tire. The next twelve riders also lapped the field but the two leaders put on the speed to finish well clear of everybody else.
