Canadian Cyclo-cross Team at Paris - Ancaster

Three members of Canada's National Cyclo-cross team have confirmed their entry in the 2007 Paris to Ancaster 60km race.

Defending women's champ Tara Ross of the Advil Chapstick pro team will be making her last appearance in Canada before heading south to contest the USA national racing calendar with the rest of her pro team. After a heavy fall and winter Cyclocross schedule, Ross has been allowed to delay the start of her road season by team management, which fits perfectly with the timing of P2A on April 22.

National U23 cyclocross champion Kyle Douglas, 3Rox Racing, will be a pre-race favorite in spite of his relative youth. In 2006 Douglas was an instructor at the P2A Sprockids program, teaching kids how to ride, this year he is going to show them.

Mike Garrigan, HBCC, finished in 2nd place in 2006 P2A and will be looking to move up one step on the podium in '07. A fifth place finish at the '06 Canadian Championships earned Garrigan a spot on the World's team and 3rd overall in the O-Cup, confirms his early status as a favorite for the 07 P2A.

Entries for this year's race are running about 20% ahead of last year with 4 weeks to go, predicting a final field of 1800+ participants, making Canada's biggest one day race even bigger!
