We just had a report from Hank Sydor at the Grundig World Cup in Vail, Colorado. Michael Rasmussen is currently holding a slim lead over Cadel Evans, with world champion Jerome Chiotti in third. The riders have 1 lap left. Hubert Pallhuber and Pavel Tcherkassov round out the top 5. Kirk Molday is top Canadian in 11th, followed by Roland Green (18th), Andreas Hestler (30th) and Chris Sheppard (36th). The conditions are very hot and sunny, and a lot of the top riders have retired: Frischknecht, Hoydahl (2 flats), Christophe Dupouey and Ludovic Dubau. World Cup leader Miguel Martinez is sitting in 6th. Expect a final report in about 1 hour.
