Summer Challenge at the Burnaby Velodrome
The Burnaby Velodrome Summer Challenge kicks off at 7pm this Friday, May 4th, and runs through the afternoon of Sunday, May 6th! Space is limited and is filling up fast, so don't wait! Register at Karelo.com now or contact the race organizers!
2007 BC Cup Track Racing Series
New for this year, and beginning with the Summer Challenge, points will be awarded towards the inaugural 2007 BC Cup Track Racing Series Championships! Burnaby and Victoria track races will be used to determine the 2007 BC Cup Track Series Champions. More details will be available at the race this weekend. Brought to you by Cycling BC, the Burnaby Velodrome Club, and the Greater Victoria Velodrome Association.
Following on the success of the Women-Only category at the Six Day, the Summer Challenge is proud to offer novice women 2 Women-Only races and to offer elite women 5 Women-Only races. Results will be tracked for the Elite Women group, and a Summer Challenge Champion will be crowned Saturday night.
Exciting Raffle Prizes!
While taking a break from racing or while cheering on your friends, don't forget to pick up tickets for one of our two exciting raffles! Prizes include a free custom track frame from Naked Bicycles & Design, a Saeco Espresso Machine, a 2008 Velodrome Membership, and a prize package from FSA Full Speed Ahead bike components!
Racing for Every Level
Novice to Elite, Junior, Men and Women, Sprint, Endurance, Madison. The Summer Challenge has racing for all levels! Come out and give this fast growing sport a try!
Admission to this exciting and fun-filled event is by donation to the Vancouver Food Bank or the West Van SPCA. Donation boxes will be set up at the front door.
