Premont Racing at Intersport Bromont Canada Cup

Olympic Silver Medalist Marie-Hélène Prémont has confirmed that she will compete at the Intersport Bromont International Invitational Mountain Bike race presented by Cycles Lambert, this Victoria Day week-end at Ski Bromont. She will not be alone, as hundreds of the best known Mountain Bike racers from all over North America will be present for one of the biggest Mountain Bike events in North America this year. And there will be new events this year: the organizers have added a cross-country sprint event, to be held on Sunday, May 20th at 11:00.

Saturday: The best endurance riders will be in Bromont

The Canada Cup/Devinci Quebec Cup cross country race, presented by Time, will take place on Saturday the 19th. Some of the top riders in North America will be participating, including the aforementioned Marie Hélène Prémont of Château Richer, QC, Silver Medalist at the Athens Olympic Games, Canadian Max Plaxton, 3rd in the 2006 World Championships, as well as American Jeremiah Bishop, Gold Medalist at the last Panamerican Games and member of the illustrious Trek Volkswagen USA professional Mountain Bike team. Competitions begin at 9:00 with the under 15 riders, followed by the Sport riders at 10:00. The men and women pro elites start at noon, and the day wraps up at 2:30 pm with the expert categories.

Sunday: The Downhill

The downhill kamikazes will attack the slopes of Ski Bromont on Sunday, May 20th. These expert riders will reach crazy speeds as they compete in the Canada Cup/Devinci Cup Downhill, presented by Michelin. Pratice runs go in the morning, with competition starting at 1:00 pm.

All are invited to witness these exciting competitions at the Intersport Bromont International Invitational Mountain Bike race presented by Cycles Lambert, where hundreds of mountain bikers will put on a show not to be missed. Site access is free, this coming Victoria Day weekend at Ski Bromont, May 19th and 20th.
