From April 9-11 at the National Stadium in Bridgetown Barbados the Barbados Olympico Track Grand Prix was contested by 12 nations from the Carribean, South and North America, and Europe. Canada's representatives were National Team members Doug Baron and Jim Fisher. Doug placed 3rd in the 500m scratch heats and 3rd in the final. Doug and Jim also combined with Alwyn McMath from Ireland for a 3rd place finish in the Olympic Sprint.
