The 4th stage took us to Privas from Cruas. A lot of action at the start with the Americans and the kiwis being very agressive trying to establish a breakaway. Canadians Moriah Jo McGregor and Alison Testroete did a very good job of covering all the attacks, withTestroete herself being part of an early break of 10 other riders. But the peleton reacted quite quickly and everything came back together.

Team Menikini started to set the pace for their leader, Fabiana Luperini, just before the main climb, a 1st category col 10km long. Under the pressure of the Menikini team, the peloton exploded on the climb. Luperini got in a break with the Spaniard Moreno Allue. They then kept increasing their gap for the remainder the stage which Luperini won with a significant time gap on the chasers.

Canadians had a tough day and Wrubleski lost precious time in the climb. She took 23rd at 8:08 behind Luperini. Hobson, Willock and the very surprising Julie Beveridge finished the day with Wrubleski's group.

Wrubleski is now sitting 14th in the GC, 8:08 behind the new leader Maribel Moreno Allue from Spain.
