The 2nd of 3 FREE seminars PacificSport Victoria is offering this fall to promote long term athlete development, participation and physical activity for life. Each of the seminars is geared towards Parents, PE teachers, Local Sport Organization and Rec Centre Programmers. Our seminar last Thursday attracted over 45 members of the Greater Victoria community with a great mix of parents, teachers, coaches and members of a few recreation centres.

World renowned expert and Canadian Sport For Life contributor, Istvan Bayli will lead discussions on the importance of basic overall sport skills and the interdependency of physical education, school sports, competitive sports, and recreational activities.

Discussion topics will include but not be limited to:

• "The impact of Long Term Athlete Development on Parents,
Coaching, Community Sport and Recreation, the Sport
System and the Education System."
• " The importance of introducing Fundamental movement
skills and sport skills during the optimum point in physical
development."

Sandwiches and refreshments will be provided

This is a great opportunity to learn more about the importance of the FUNdamentals in athletic development and lifelong participation.
