Equipe Vallee de l'Aluminium-Devinci 2008

In the wake of a first season filled with success, the 2008 edition of EVA-Devinci promises to be just as competitive. The team has acquired a CCA Trade Team classification and will be present at all the major races on the Quebec calendar; including Le Tour de Beauce, Canadian & Quebec championships, the Mardis de Lachine series, as well as many other races along the Eastern seaboard.

The team will be able to count on four of its returning junior racers making the jump to the senior ranks. These riders include: Simon Gagnon-Brassard, David Maltais (winner of the Classique Chlorophylle), Guillaume Boivin (winner of the National Junior overall ranking in 2007), and Stéphane Cossette (Canadian National Champion on the road and on the track). With the incredible sprinting qualities of Guillaume and Stéphane, EVA-Devinci will be a threat in any bunch sprints.

To bring some maturity and experience to this impetuous group of young riders, EVA-Devinci will be able to call upon on a wide diversity of riders. The ever sympathetic Charles Thibault will be returning to the team after a progressive 2007. EVA-Devinci will as well have three new riders for 2008. They include: Georges-Édouard Duquette, who will be making the jump from mountain biking; Sandy Fulton, the Ontario member of the team fresh off a season in Belgium; and Jean-Sébastien Perron, an excellent climber and third place finisher at last season's Quebec Championships.

To complete this diverse line up of riders, EVA-Devinci is happy to be able to count on the return of Mathieu Toulouse, our professional mountain biker, top cyclocross rider, and Quebec Provincial Champion in both the Road Race and Time Trial.

L'Équipe cycliste de la Vallée de l'Aluminium-Devinci is proud to be supported by The Aluminum Valley Society, Rio-Tinto-Alcan, Devinci Cycles, Desjardins Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, GM Canada, Pearl Izumi, SRAM, Mavic, Groupe Madie, and Endurance Nutrition.
