Sign Up for Ride2Survive

The fourth annual Ride2Survive will take place on June 21st 2008.

On that one day only, starting at 4AM, about 40 or 50 solo riders and two-person relay teams will tackle a bicycle ride from Kelowna BC to Delta BC! The route winds 400km and takes us over two mountain summits totaling about 12,000 feet of climbing until we arrive by about 9:30PM that same evening.

There is no doubt this is a tough event but it symbolizes the tough fight cancer patients have every day - the ride is merely one day. The spirit of the Ride2Survive lies in the memory of those who have lost their battle with cancer, those in the throes of their fight, those in remission, and those who remain as yet undiagnosed.

The purpose of this annual ride is to raise funds for cancer research and treatment. 100% of the raised money goes directly to the Canadian Cancer Society. Our expenses are covered by our riders, volunteers and businesses like yours who can assist with the direct needs of operating this event. To this end, we are the Canadian Cancer Society's largest single-day fundraiser operated entirely by volunteers without corporate sponsorship.

Our first Ride2Survive in 2005 raised $15,000 growing to $38,000 in 2006 and 2007 saw an astounding show of generosity with donations of almost $200,000!

We welcome new riders to this great event. Please go to our website www.ride2survive.ca for more information and to sign up!
