Race #4 (The Snake) And Race #5 (Bradner) This Weekend!

The Escape Velocity/dEVo Spring Series continues this week with racing for the A, B and C groups on both Saturday and Sunday. After last Sunday's suffer fest on the Armstrong Road hill, the dEVo race organizers have cooked up a slightly longer circuit that encompasses all the elevation gain of Armstrong and is affectionately referred to as "The Snake". On Sunday, the venue will be the challenging Bradner course, the site of the BC Masters road race.

Race #4: The Snake, Langley, BC. If you liked the Armstrong Road course last week, you are going to love The Snake. This course features a longer 10.1 km lap with a very steep climb off the Fraser River floodplain. If you have an extra lung, be sure to bring it along.

Date: Saturday March 15, 2008

Location: East of Fort Langley, BC. Parking on 88th Avenue near the race start/finish area at the junction of 88th Avenue and 256th Street.

Race #5: Bradner, east of Abbotsford, BC. Challenging 9km circuit in rural Bradner featuring rolling hills, a couple of short climbs and lots of corners. Don't ride off the front on the first lap if you didn't pre-ride this course.

Date: Sunday March 16, 2008

Location: Fort Langley, BC. Parking at Bradner Hall, just south of the Start area at the junction of Bradner Road and 58th Avenue.

Further Event Details

Time: All races start at 10:30 AM sharp.

Categories: Please see the category suggestions below to help advise you on which category to race.

• A Group: This is generally comprised of category Pro, 1 and 2's as well as some very fit 3's.
• B Group: This is composed on the top Category 3's and 4's as well as most top Women and top Junior racers.
• C Group: This is the place for most Category 4's and 5's as well as Novice racers that have some but limited race experience. In the spirit of the Spring Series if you are new to racing but have been riding consistently over the winter and are keeping up with cat 3's in your club then B's are more than likely where you belong.
• Novice: There will be NO Novice races this weekend.
