Register Early to Secure Entry into BC's Toughest Road Stage Race

The start of the Race the Ridge 2008 BC Cup road stage race, April 26-27, is quickly approaching, and this is one you won't want to miss. Highlights include a challenging new road race course that will cater to climbers, a rolling time trial route in scenic Golden Ears Provincial Park, and the classic, high-profile Town Core Criterium in downtown Maple Ridge.

The Race the Ridge 2008 BC Cup event will be a true stage race this year, with all riders competing in three stages to achieve an overall ranking. Winners will be rewarded with a great cash purse and a practical and stylish metal prize (hint: not a medal) provided by major race sponsor, Local Ride. Don't miss this weekend of dramatic road racing action in beautiful Maple Ridge, BC - it will challenge even the strongest riders, and thrill spectators young and old.

Registration is now open online at www.karelo.comfor the exciting Race the Ridge 2008 BC Cup stage race, and it's wise to sign up early, as field size limits are in place for each category and registration closes at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 24. No race-day registration will be available. There will not be a Cat 5 Men's category offered this year, although if the Cat 4 Men's field still has space available a week prior to the race, Cat 5 men will be eligible to fill the spots. For more information, including schedules, directions, and course maps, please visit www.localride.ca.

Volunteer and sponsorship opportunities are still available. Please contact Barry Lyster (see contact info below) for more information.
