Poley Canada Cup

Despite local weather forecasts to the contrary, it is still cool and misty at the race site this morning. We are hoping that it will burn off before the start of the racing - 2:00 pm local for the Elite categories - aren’t counting on it. There are approximately 90 downhillers signed up for today’s event, and the word is that the course is very slick and a little treacherous. We will report back with some quotes from the riders (who doing practice runs) in a couple of hours. (Ed. Note: remember that the Maritimes are 1 hour ahead of Ontario and Quebec, 2 ahead of Manitoba/Saskatchewan, 3 in front of Alberta and 4 from B.C.)

As an aside, we have confirmed that Sue Palmer has left mountain biking to return to road racing.
