Canada Takes Madison Gold at Pan Am Championships

The Canadian duo of Svein Tuft and Zach Bell took a third gold medal for Canada in the Track competition at the Pan Am Championships in Uruguay today, when they won the Madison event. Tuft and Bell were the strongest team in the race, which was marred by a crash between American rider Cody O'Reilly and Uruguay's Augustin Margalef, that forced the two teams to abandon. Canada is now second to Colombia in total medals for the Championships.

2. Chile (Gonzalo Miranda/Luis Sepulveda)25
3. Colombia (Carlos Uran/Antonio Cardenas)13
4. Argentina (Marcos Agostini/Enzo Moyano)0
5. Mexico (Mario Hernandez/Rodolfo Avila)0
