Canadian Woman Wanted...

My name is Marc Burgess and I manage/coach a B.C. women's cycling team called Physical Culture. Our team has been selected to compete in the '99 Hewlett Packard Laserjet Womens' Challenge in Boise, Idaho and are currently looking for a sixth woman for the team. We would prefer a Canadian woman before we look to the U.S. for a rider. If it's possible, could you put our request up on your site asking them to email or fax their rider credentials and profiles to us at: seonbike@aol.com or fax (250) 384-4299.

Thank You.
Marc Burgess

Schwinn/Toyota Canada Cup #2

Just an update to let you know how things are going. Both the Downhill and Cross Country courses are marked and ready to go. We have spent a great deal of time working on erosion control and doing trail maintenance over the last three weeks. We were concerned about dust with the dry weather, but the trail work and recent rain has made for great riding. Hardwood Hills has spent about $10,000 this year on trail work and erosion products. I hope you'll see the positive difference (though much of it should remain hidden).

Entries to this point show record numbers. The World Cup and Norba calendars are at a pause, so we have many returned World Cup and Norba riders (Canadian and US.), showing up to get some more UCI points for Olympic qualification. There will be an open ride with the Pro's on Saturday at 2:00. They will take groups for a ride around the course. Looking forward to the weekend. For more info see www.hardwoodhills.on.ca
