No, it is not April 1st ... Lance Armstrong, the seven-time Tour de France champion has announced through a spokesperson that the rumours about his return to pro cycling are correct, and that he hopes to go for an eighth Tour title next year. Armstrong will be 37 years old at that time and if he won would become the oldest winner in Tour history. The reason for the return? To publicize the battle against cancer. A formal announcement of which team he will ride for has not yet been made, but it very hard to see it being anyone else than Astana and Johan Bruyneel. Let's see if ASO tries to keep Bruyneel's team out of the Tour now...
