Report from First Day of the UCI Management Committee Meeting

The Management Committee of the International Cycling Union (UCI), meeting on 24 and 25 September in Varese, Italy, during the 2008 UCI Road World Championships, today awarded the following World Championships:

• 2011 UCI Mountain Bike & Trials World Championships: Champéry (Switzerland);
• 2011 UCI Mountain Bike Marathon World Championship: Montebelluna (Italy);
• 2011 UCI BMX World Championships: Krasnaya Pakhra (Russia).

The Management Committee also acknowledged the decision of Mr Hein Verbruggen to stand down as UCI Vice-President, a post he has held since the election of his successor Mr Pat McQuaid. Mr Verbruggen remains UCI Honorary President.
