It is with regret that we announce the death of Serge Gariépy, father of Annie and Mélanie Gariépy. Mr. Gariépy died last Sunday (January 11th) following a long illness. For all those who have known Annie or Mélanie, they will certainly remember Mr. Gariépy, who was present at races to encourage his daughters and the riders in general. Mr. Gariépy was also involved in organizing the Canadian Junior Road Championship in Bromont in 1991.

For those who would like pay their last respects to Mr. Gariépy and offer their condolences to family members the visitation will be at the Funeral Home Giraldot and Ménard, located at 470, rue Dufferin, Granby. It will take place Thursday, January 15th between 19:00 and 22:00, and Friday, January 16th from 12:00 to 14:30. The telephone number of the Home is (450) 372-4498.

The funeral will take place on Friday, January 16th at 15:00 in the Church of St. Joseph, located on the boulevard Leclerc, Granby.
