It was announced late yesterday that Tanya Dubnicoff has been selected to carry the flag for Canada at the opening ceremonies if this years Pan Am Games in Winnipeg. A two-time Pan American gold medalist, Dubnicoff was born in Winnipeg. She grew up in Winnipeg. She went to university in Winnipeg. And it is there she began her cycling career. Congratulations Tanya!!!

There will be a special Pan Am Games stamp issued this summer, and one of the images will be cycling.

The top 25 athletes of the century were announced today. Cycling Legend Eddy Merckx was in that list. The only Canadian to make the list was Wayne Gretzky.
