DH Enduro - MegaAvalanche Alpe d'Huez


Last week was Avalanche week in France starting with the the Sprint Avalanche Cup in Oz en Oisans on Wednesday, won by Chris Kovaric, with Claire Buchar 2nd.

The week was then taken up with practice and qualifying runs for the BIG event the Mega -Saturday the 11th women, Sunday 12th men.

Over 2000 riders went through the qualifying/positioning runs (10 sessions) on Friday hoping to be in selections - In the end, 400 would qualify contest the Men's Mega on Sunday - the longest down hill in the world, from Pic Blanc at 3,300 m to Allemont into Olle Water Valley, 720 m.
