All but one of the Canadians made it through the Dual Qualifiers, which have just finished. Leigh Donovan (Intense Cycles) finished first in the women, followed by World Cup Dual leader Katrina Miller (Team Jamis/Smith) and Cheri Elliot (Maxxis/Tomac). Lorraine Blancher (Schwinn Homegrown) was the top Canadian in 9th place, followed by Tera Meade (Ellsworth/Java Racing) in 11th, Jen Ashton (Norco) 13th and Aleisha Cline (Ellsworth/Java Racing) 14th. The biggest news was the crash this morning in downhill training of Tara Llanes (Mt Dew-Specialized), currently in second place in the overall Dual standings. Llanes broke her collarbone; no word yet on how long she is expected to be out. One of the Be One men also broke his arm, no name as of yet.

In the men's Qualifier, Wade Bootes (Trek/VW), who crashed so spectacularly last weekend in Mont Ste Anne, qualified first, followed by last week's winner eric Carter (Team GT) and German Guido Tschugg (Wheeler). Dave watson (Rocky Mountain) was top canadian in 14th, followed by Jason Smith (Trophy Lawwill) in 28th, Gareth Dyer (Giant) 30th, Bill MacEwen in 32nd and Vincent Roy (Velo Regard) - who didn't make the cut - in 33rd.
