The Board of Directors has been named for the Toronto-based 2015 Pan Am Games.  Former Four Seasons hotel chain director Roger Garland will serve as chairman.  David Braley, the president of the BC Lions CFL team and the chairman of the board of directors for the 2003 Road Worlds in Hamilton provides some cycling content to the Pan Am Board.  Now that the Board has been appointed, the next task will be to hire a CEO, and then the organization will begin to work on venues.  A velodrome is slated for Hamilton, with Road and BMX event to take place in Toronto and the mountain bike competition north of Barrie at Hardwood Hills.  The velodrome faces a bit of a battle to obtain the necessary funding to build a permanent world-class facility, since only $11.2 million has been budgeted for this venue, and one of Hamilton's primary goals will be to build a new stadium that can eventually provide a home for the Hamilton Tiger Cats CFL team.
