The Management Committee of the International Cycling Union has ruled on appeals brought by teams for whom registration as UCI Professional Continental Teams was refused.

Three teams had their [initial] applications for registration rejected in view of the dossiers they presented to the UCI and taking into account advice from the auditors Ernst & Young. All three teams appealed in accordance with Article 2.16.017 of the UCI Regulations.

After a hearing involving the teams, the Management Committee decided to approve the registration of the following two teams for the 2010 season:

• Androni Giocattoli (Venezuela)
• Xacobeo Galicia Team (Spain)

However, the Management Committee rejected the registration of the U.S. team Rock Racing.

Androni Giocattoli and Xacobeo Galicia Team have applied for Wild Card status. The rulings on these applications had been dependent on the registration of the teams. In light of the Management Committee's decision, the teams' applications for Wild Card status can now be considered.
