The Calgary Bicycle Track League (CBTL) is pleased to announce a youth track cycling development program for the 2010 season.

The program is built using the Canadian Cycling Association's (CCA) Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model.  CBTL will focus on the "Training to Compete" phases (which includes the CCA's "Learning to Compete" and "Training to Compete") and will be offered to girls and boys who are 11 - 20 years of age.  Younger and older ages will be considered based on level of interest from the community.

Dr. Conan Cooper, ChPC will manage the program as Development Manager for CBTL.  The full schedule will run from April to September to coincide with the CBTL training and racing season.  The program will, primarily, be run from the Glenmore Velodrome at the Glenmore Athletic Park in Calgary, Alberta.

Further details will follow on CBTL's website at www.cbtl.ca.
