Team Nanoblur-Gears Women's Pro Cycling team based in Ontario, is pleased to announce that Dr. Greg Gannon of S2 Training Systems will be joining the team to provide sport physiology support during the 2010 racing season. "Greg brings over 20 years of experience in athlete development, applied sport science practice and coaching to the team. He represents a significant part of our strategy to bring the best possible support to our riders" said Team Manager, Malcolm Eade. “We are very excited about Greg joining us in our first year of existence. We are truly creating a foundation for growth and development that will help us realize our 3 year plan.”

Greg will focus his efforts on interventions such as heat and hydration strategies, monitoring and interpretation of power data, and the assessment of rider recovery and regeneration. All in an effort to ensure that performance gaps are identified and filled." "I'm excited to be involved with such a dedicated group of athletes" said Dr. Gannon. "Cycling is a very demanding endurance sport and there are many physiological variables that impact the development and performance of the athlete. My job is to bring focus to the variables that can be improved."

S2 Training Systems provides coaching and training services for professional, amateur and recreational athletes in endurance sports such as cycling, running, triathlon, adventure, and long-distance kayaking.
