Professional cycling at its competitive best will be showcased at the fifth annual Alexian Brothers Tour of Elk Grove, a nationally acclaimed cycling event in northwest suburban Elk Grove Village, Illinois.

Featuring 15 pro/am races and a total prize purse of $150,000, the Tour of Elk Grove will be held from Friday, July 30th, through Sunday, August 1st. Attracting many of the top Midwest, national and international cyclists and teams, races will be held on the streets of Elk Grove Village. The race is also on USA Cycling's prestigious National Racing Calendar.

Tour of Elk Grove's spotlight competition is a three-stage Men's Pro Race held over three days with a whopping $118,000 in total prize money. This is the largest prize purse for a men's 3-day, 3-stage pro race in the North America.

Stage 1 of the Men's Pro Race - a 4.5 mile time trial - kicks off the weekend of racing at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Stage 2 - a 150K (93 mile) road race on the streets of Elk Grove Village - takes place at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The final, Stage 3, is a 110K (68.2 mile) criterium. It takes place at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. The single cash prize for the overall individual winner of the 3-day, 3-stage men's pro race is $26,000.

Another top race at Tour of Elk Grove is the Men's Category 1/2. It features races on both Saturday and Sunday and a total of $15,500 in prize money. There are also two women's Category 1/2/3 races (on Saturday and Sunday) with a total prize purse of $6,500.
