We ran into former Canadian pro and 2004 Olympian

Kiara Bisaro, bisarowho drove over from France to watch the action.  Kiara is living in France with partner Sylvain and their daughter Georgia.  She says that she is still riding, and recently completed a 200 km-plus road event.

Thomas Frischknecht picked Champéry to announce that his team has renewed sponsorship with title sponsor Scott and others through 2014.  The Elite team will consist of of world champion Nino Schurter and Florian Vogel, who auspiciously won the elite men's cross-country.  "Yah, that was pretty good, wasn't it," said a grinning Frischi after Florian's win.  "Florian sometimes doesn't get the attention that Nino does, but he is just as strong a rider."

The team will also have a junior squad of Swiss development riders.  The only rider named thus far is Frischi's son, who recently won the Under-17 Swiss national title.
