Tour de France winner Laurent Fignon has passed away after a long battle with intestinal cancer. Fignon was 50 years old. Fignon won the Tour twice, in 1983 and 1984. He also famous for having finished second to Greg Lemond in the 1989 Tour by eight seconds in the final time trial, the smallest winning margin in Tour history.
