On Sunday November 21st, The Barrie Cycling Club is pleased to present the 4th annual Barrie Cross race, re-dubbed "The Baseball Cross".

This is the sixth stop in the Southern Ontario cross series, and the course has been laid out with speed and flow in mind, so expect fast corners, every surface type imaginable:  gravel, pavement, grass, and soil. One nice run-up per lap along with some tight turns to keep the course balanced.

The race is being held at the Barrie Sports Complex, which is a premier sporting venue, with on-site features that include a covered pavilion with heated washrooms, playground for the kids, fire pit and lots of parking.  There will also be hot food and drinks on-site, with hot breakfast and lunch available to help keep you warm.

10 am - Under 17; Senior 3/4 Male; Beginner Male; Master 3 Male

11:30 am - Junior (17-18) Male & Female; Senior Female; Beginner Female; Master Female; Master 2 Male

1:00 pm - Senior 1/2/3 Male; Master 1 Male

There will be a cash purse for Senior 1/2/3 Male and Senior Female, along with great merchandise prizes for all other categories. Awards will be held immediately following the completion of each race start.

PLEASE NOTE: One day licenses will be available for this event at a cost of $10. They can be purchased at the time of registration.

Cost of the event is $25 pre-registered, and $30 day-of registration for all categories other than Junior and Under 17. For these categories the cost is $20 pre-registered and $25 day-of event. All riders are encouraged to pre-register, through the OCA website - www.ontariocycling.org.

 

Barrie Sports Complex is at 2100 Nursery Rd, Midhurst, just north of Barrie off Hwy 26.
