Trivia Winner

Only one correct answer today, from Rob Naish. Rob correctly answered that the only Senior/Elite rider to have won both the downhill and cross-country national titles in the same year is Jill Smith. A bunch of people thought it might be Bruce Spicer or Elladee Brown (and one really weird answer of Mrs Visser???). Jill won them at Montebello, Quebec, in 1992. The course was suited to a XC rider more than a downhiller, with a short technical section at the start and a long gravel road to the finish, and Jill used her time trialling skills to take the double title. Mountain biking was still so new that the CCA didn't have a national champion's jersey yet!

We are going to take a short hiatus from the trivia contest for a few days, while attending the Chicago trade show (and reporting on the Road Worlds). We will start up again next Tuesday, October 12th.

Happy Birthday To...

Saturn roadie Matt Anand (October 1st) and our very own Natalie Sahl (today).
