Chico Racing is excited to announce registration is now open for both the 24 Hours of Summer Solstice (June 25th - 26th, 2011), and the 24 Hours at Albion: Hot August Nights (August 27th - 28th , 2011).

These two day festivals are packed with FUN competition, entertainment, free Shimano kids race, camping, bands and of course team camaraderie - all celebrating the outdoors, and the sport of mountain biking. Back by popular demand for 2011, is the 3-4 Person No-Nite Category. This category means exactly what it is called, no night riding. Teams will ride during the day on Saturday, and by dusk their lap total and time will freeze until dawn on Sunday, at which time they can head out for the remainder of the event. This category still receives all the great benefits associated with these events, including awards, great draw prizes, fabulous camping, chip timing, souvenir number plates, and limited edition t-shirts.

New features for 2011 include a special gift for team captains who register by December 31st for Summer Solstice, and by March 31, 2011 for Hot August Nights. This is your chance to be a team captain and get a brand new limited edition 24 Hour Summer Solstice or 24 Hour Hot August Nights hour baseball cap, and cycling socks - over $30 value! In addition, course improvements are continuing for 2011.

If you haven't been to these 24 hours races in some time, you may not recognize the trails. Several singletracks have been reworked, and two completely new trails have been constructed using both hand built techniques and with use of a compact excavator. The flow, sustainability, and fun has never been better at Albion!

Be sure to register early as space is limited, and to get the best pricing. Plus, teams that register early can get a better chance of getting the campsites they want.
