The 2010 Mountain Bike World Championships in Mont Ste Anne, Quebec were a huge success, as anyone who attended can attest.  The organizers - Gestev - received a number of awards for their efforts:

With over 50,000 visitors, 900 volunteers, and 700 athletes, the UCI Mountain Bike and Trials World Championships held at Mont-Sainte-Anne from August 31 to September 5, 2010, were a stunning success. This did not go unnoticed by the industry, which has since showered the event with prizes and awards.

Union cycliste internationale (UCI) highlighted the excellent organization behind the event, presenting Yves Blouin, president of Corporation de la Coupe du Monde de vélo de montagne Mont-Sainte-Anne, with a commemorative trophy.

Despite stiff competition from the Desjardins Vanier Cup (football), the Telus Cup (hockey), and the IBF World Championships (boxing), the UCI Mountain Bike and Trials World Championships were still crowned one-off event of the year at the Gala Victoris Desjardins. The award recognized the event's uniqueness, its well-oiled organization, and its impact on developing the sport.

Every year at the close of the cycling season, Fédération québécoise des sports cyclistes (FQSC) recognizes its members' commitment through its Mérite cycliste québécois awards. Summer 2010 was a busy one for international cycling, with a number of major events taking place in Québec, including the UCI Paracycling Road World Championships in Baie-Comeau, the Grand Prix Cycliste ProTour Québec-Montréal and, of course, the UCI Mountain Bike and Trials World Championships. To mark this very special year, all three competitions were given the coveted Prix du Président, which has been awarded only ten times in the past twenty years.

At the same gala, the World Championships were given the Mérite cycliste québécois award for the national and international event of the year.

On November 4 and for the tenth year in a row, CLD de la Côte-de-Beaupré put on an awards ceremony to celebrate local businesses of the year. Gestev was given the Sports and Outdoor award for the UCI Mountain Bike and Trials World Championships at Mont-Sainte-Anne. This international competition made a name for the region the world over and brought in major economic spinoffs.
