Garneau Evolution (GE) is pleased to announce its 2011 team roster. 2010 marked the team's most successful season capturing the BC Provincial Championship victory, third in the Whistler Gran Fondo, second in the BC Cup series, second for U23 at the Canadian National Championships and Best Young Rider at the Tour de Delta. For 2011, the team is increasing their depth and youth for an even stronger team.

Notable additions for 2011 are veteran racers Alistair Howard and Jeff Werner, and talented junior rider Kyle Buckowsky, the Junior BC Provincial Champion. GE also welcomes several time trial specialists in Mike Rothengatter (returning from dEVo), David Stephens and Nathan MacDonald, who collectively finished fourth, fifth, and sixth respectively in the BC Provincial Time Trial Championships.

As manager Jak New stated, "We are very excited for 2011, this is our best team yet. With returning veterans like [BC Provincial Champion] Tim Abercrombie and Jesse Reams, we are also adding young talent for a very deep and well-rounded team.  Each year we continue to show our depth as a Team with contributions from all riders, and it shows when you look at the BC Cup rankings, and 2011 will be no exception."

CCA President John Tolkamp will also continue to race for GE at the local level. Garneau Evolution is also very happy to have the continued support of Louis Garneau.  "Garneau has been a very important partner for us in the development of our team, providing us with the best available bikes, helmets, shoes and cycling clothes," says Tim Abercrombie of the Garneau Test Team. The team is also proud to be affiliated with Team Escape Velocity Cycling Club, working toward developing young racers from the dEVo program.

Garneau Evolution plans a full season of racing in 2011, with the depth to field teams at simultaneous races.  GE also plans to join forces for some races with our team mates at Garneau Club-Chaussures in Quebec.
