HP Challenge 2000

BOISE, Idaho (15 December 1999) -- The HP LaserJet Women's Challenge, the toughest and richest road race in North America, is ready for the Olympics. Race organizers have designed a 2000 course to once again attract the world's best female athletes. The race offers the cyclists the opportunity to test themselves against Idaho's rugged terrain and size up the competition in preparation for the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.

"We attempted to set a course that would emulate the race courses for Sydney," said Race Director and retired Marine, Jim Rabdau. "It's as close as we could get in the high desert and mountains of Idaho."

Race Face Recognized by National Post Newspaper

Canadian Commissaires in 2000

Two of Canada's commissaires have been assigned to some of the most prestigious events in cycling for 2000. Pierre Blanchard will work the Road World Championships, and Chantal Lachance will be chief mountain bike commissaire at the Olympic Games. Congratulations to both.
