Mike's Bike Shop and the National Cycling Centre - Atlantic Canada to partner to celebrate the Centre's 10 years of success

July 21st, 2011 will officially mark the 10 year anniversary of the National Cycling Centre - Atlantic Canada. As part of its long partnership with the Centre, Mike's Bike Shop is please to offer a special edition kit. These cycling specific shorts and jersey, produced by Apogée Sport, are sure to make every cyclist comfortable.

Mike's Bike Shop co-owner, Rick Snyder is very happy about the long term relationship with the Centre: "It was very important to us to contribute to the successes of the Centre through its initial 10 years. Furthermore, we are happy to donate 100% of the profits of the sales of these special edition kits to the Centre!"

For 10 years Mike's Bike Shop has been a proud supporter of the Centre. The shop has been involved with the sponsorship of the Mike's Bike Shop Cup, the Selection program as well as the development programs. They have also greatly helped by putting the Centre into direct contact with suppliers such as Giant, Shimano, and many others. The shop has also provided with staff (bike mechanics) for various team projects all over the world.

"To be successful for such a long time means we need a lot of support from the community. This fundraiser underlining our 10th anniversary is just another great example of how well we have been working together with Jim (Goguen) and Rick, the co-owners of the Shop" adds the Centre president, Guy Vincent.

Through the years, the National Cycling Centre has been very successful at developing champions from the fundamental stages to the top. The cyclists have accumulated no less than 60 national championship medals and over 20 invitations to World Championships. It proudly runs programs in Dieppe's St-Anselme Park where 10 km of mountain bike trails, the Subway BMX track and the Caisse populaire Dieppe Vélodrome are located.
