Montreal World Cup

We are pleased to annouce that we have reached an agreement with the organizer of the Montreal Women's World Cup road race to provide their website for this year's event (May 28th). Within the next couple of weeks an initial website will go up, with pre-race information, maps, schedules, etc. During the race we will be providing a live webcast, with lap-by-lap coverage. Stay tuned.

Round the World

Two women from Waterloo Region are cycling around the world this year with Odyssey 2000 (part of a tour organized by Tim Kneeland and Associates in Seattle Washington). Instead of just using this incredible adventure for their own growth and experience, they are letting two organizations (Lisaard House and Hospice of Waterloo Region) use their participation to raise awareness and donations for a cause close to their heart - hospice palliative care.

We have developed a website at www.wheelsaroundtheworld.com, which people can visit to follow their journey. We have a local radio station broadcasting live updates weekly from Charmaine as she travels around the world, along with regular media reports sent to local newspapers. The two riders were profiled in this month's Canadian Living and a picture appears in Our Millennium Catalogue of Possibilities. We are of course, always looking for new opportunities to let people know about the ride.

I thought this may be of interest for your readers and webvisitors - to let them know about this amazing journey!
