The critical pre-Olympic Track World Cup series begins next weekend in Astana, Kazakhstan.  Canada is sending a team of seven riders, primarily Women's Team Pursuit and Men's Team Sprint, as they try to qualify for the world championships and the Olympics.

For the Women's Team Pursuit, the team consists of Julia Bradley (Toronto, ON), Gillian Carleton (Victoria, BC) and Jasmin Glaesser (Coquitlam, BC).  Women's Sprinter Monique Sullivan (Calgary, AB) will also attend to compete in the Sprint and Keirin competitions.  In addition to the Team Pursuit, Carleton will contest the Points Race and Glaesser the Omnium.

On the men's side, the Team Sprint squad is made up of Hugo Barrette (Cap-aux-Meules, QC), Travis Smith (Calgary, AB) and Joe Veloce (Fonthill, ON).  Smith will also contest the Sprint.
