Registration is now open for the Gran Fondo Gatineau, which will take place on Sunday, May 20th, starting on boulevard des Allumetières, in Gatineau, Québec. Organized as part of the Grand Prix Cycliste Gatineau, the Gran Fondo Gatineau is a timed event that gives cyclists of all levels the chance to test themselves on a demanding 110 kilometre route through the Gatineau hills. A shorter 55 kilometre route - the Medio Fondo - gives the less hardy ones the option of doing just one loop.

This year’s route is quite new. It will run along boulevard des Allumetières, chemin Notch (and its hill) until Chelsea, and then along the fabulous parkways through the Gatineau hills up to the Champlain Lookout. The finish line will be on boulevard des Allumettières, in the same spot where the pro race will end the following day.

The first 100 people to register to the Gran Fondo will get a free Michelin PRO4 700 x 23c tire (retail value of $85). Register now to take advantage of this offer at www.gpcyclistegatineau.com.
