Request for Proposals

The Ontario Cycling Association, as part of its staffing restructuring plan, is looking to contract out various management functions. This contract is open to firms and individuals who have proven experience in the P.S.O. environment.

The Ontario Cycling Association is the P.S.O. that governs the sport of cycling in Ontario. We are a membership organization with 1,500 direct members and 90 affiliated clubs representing approx.10,000 cyclists in Ontario. The OCA sanctions approx.150 cycling events in a calendar year. We currently have a small number of contract staff working under the direct supervision of the board of directors.

In order to develop a list of pre-qualified applicants the Ontario Cycling Association is requesting that applicants provide the following information:

  • Corporate or Individual Resume. If this is a corporation please provide resume information on the principals who would be involved in this contract.

  • Specific information on your experience in the management of a P.S.O.

  • List of references that support your P.S.O. involvement.

  • Short management proposal.

  • Preliminary Costing Proposal for various time commitments.


All information should be sent to the attention of Jim Crosscombe - OCA President. Delivery can be made in a sealed envelope to the OCA office or by e-mail directly to jcrosscombe@idirect.com. Information sent electronically must be readable in Word 97.
