Confirmed - Jeanson Wins!

We just received a call from the Canadian team manager in France, Christian Pézard, who confirmed Genevieve Jeanson victory at the Fleche Wallonne World Cup. He said that Jeanson was the dominant rider in the race, covering all breaks, and stamping her authority on the field in the first climb. The young Canadian rider dropped the remainder of a lead group of 10 on the final climb to solo in 10 seconds ahead of Finland Pia Sundstedt, and 23 seconds in front of Fany Lecourtois of France.

Leigh Hobson was in the lead group until she suffered a flat and had a slow wheel change.
