October 3/12 20:10 pm - UCI Releases First 2013 List of WorldTour and Pro Continental Teams Posted by Editoress on 10/3/12
The UCI has released the list of WorldTour and Pro Continental teams who have submitted their paperwork for 2013 registration. SpiderTech powered by C10 is not on the that list (as are many other missing teams), which just means that their paperwork is not complete.
Teams wishing to be registered in first or second division for the 2013 season are required to submit a registration file to the International Cycling Union. The UCI, in association with Ernst & Young, evaluates whether the teams are in compliance with the regulatory requirements, particularly in terms of their administration and finances.
In accordance with its regulations, the UCI is today publishing the list of teams that by 1st October, 2012, had submitted a registration file containing the following required documents:
- budget, - the sponsorship contracts duly signed with the main partners, - the bank guarantee, - at least 10 contracts with riders duly signed by the two parties, - for new teams only, a description of their structure together with a copy of the deed of incorporation of the paying agent.
The teams are:

Astana Pro Team BMC Racing Team Cannondale FDJ Katusha Lampre - Merida Movistar Team Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team ORICA GreenEdge Radioshack Nissan Sky Procycling Vacansoleil - DCM Pro Cycling Team

This information is being published with a view to keeping all concerned parties informed about the progress of the registration files submitted by first and second division teams. The files will now undergo an in-depth evaluation, the results of which will determine the next steps in the registration process.
For UCI ProTeams that already have a licence - and that rank among the top 15 teams from the sporting point of view - the registration process will be completed by 1st November if no irregularities are brought to notice; files with non-conformities will be passed on to the Licence Commission (article 2.15.011 of the UCI Constitution and Regulations); candidates to a UCI WorldTour licence (first request or renewal), will automatically have their files submitted to the Licence Commission; for UCI Professional Continental Teams, the registration process will be completed by 1st November if no irregularities are brought to notice.
